What is The Whisky Order?

The Whisky Order is a monthly subscription box that give you the opportunity to sample, taste and enjoy delightful new whisky samples every month, from the comfort of your own home. It’s like a night out at a whisky bar without leaving your home.

How does The Whisky Order work?

Every month on the 14th we ship you a lovely little box of whisky samples and all the information you need to have an enjoyable tasting night. Each month costs $59.95 and we offer a pre-payment option for up to 3 months that will secure a small discount each month.

What’s inside my monthly Whisky Order?

Each month we deliver 4-5 30ml whisky samples of the best malts going around. We include a nice little tasting mat (so you can show off your samples) and tastings notes. There is also a detailed online guide for those who want to further delve into the wonder whisky of the month – this is only available to our valued members and includes: Distillery History, detailed tasting notes and purchasing information & discounts.

How much does The Whisky Order cost? /Are there any hidden fees?

Each month is $59.95 and this INCLUDES shipping to all Australian States. For international orders there is a $10 shipping fee. There are no hidden fees.

We do offer a small discount for anyone who elects to prepay for 3 month and this payments is then billed quarterly.

Do you do any bulk discounts? /My friends and I want to get together and enjoy this!

Yes we sure do! Please contact hello@thewhiskyorder.com.au and let us know what you are after. We are happy to help out social clubs, groups of friends or regular tasting nights.

How does billing work?

All monthly orders are billed once per month on the 23rd. Generally billing occurs around 10pm at night.

For anyone who has pre-paid a 3 month subscription, you will be billed only once per quarter on the 23rd (three months after purchase).

When is the monthly deadline? /When will I receive my first box?

We have a cut off of the 13th of the month. Any orders after this date (from the 14th onward) will receive their monthly order the FOLLOWING month. This just helps keep everything neat from a shipping/fulfilment perspective. If there are any urgent requests though, please reach out and we will sort something out for you.

When and how do you ship?

Each month we dispatch all orders on the 14th

If the 14th falls on a Saturday or Sunday then we will dispatch the orders the following business day.

Domestic Australian orders are shipped via Australia Post and can be tracked at www.auspost.com.au. All orders require ID prior to being picked up (it IS Alcohol after all!)

International orders are shipping via Australia Post – Pack and Track. 

Customs and duties may be payable on International orders and it is up to you to ensure you are complying with local and state laws regarding the importation of alcohol.

How can I cancel my subscription?

Easy! 

We want you to feel in control of all aspects of your orders. 

Just log into your account and you will be able to view any current subscriptions you have. Select cancel and that’s it!

If you need to update your address, want to pause your subscription or just skip a month because you are heading away somewhere nice, you may do this too.

Can I sign up for just one order? /How do gifts work?

Sure can! 

Just select Whisky Gifts on the top menu and you can purchase a one off box (or boxes). All gift boxes are exactly the same as the monthly orders – we just ship them in a satchel so as not to spoil the surprise. You can even pickup a nice glass, tasting board or special limited edition tasting packs. 

If you have any special requests like a card or message, just let us know. We are happy to accommodate. I’ll probably get Sarah to hand write anything though because my hand writing is crap!
